Are muscle building supplements a scam?
The short answer… The quick answer…
Is yes. They are basically a scam.
Read on to learn why…
Don’t Believe Everything You Read
Now you’re going to hear from a lot of reputable-sounding sources (like bodybuilders and fitness magazines) that THEY have the supplements you need to “skyrocket your testosterone” and “build massive new muscle.”
Now I’m guessing you’re smart enough to know WHY these people are recommending these supplements.
Because they’re selling them, obviously!
They’re making money off of you!
The Truth About Supplement Before & After Pictures
I tell you one thing. You look at a fitness model, or a bodybuilder, or a professional athlete, or anyone with a great physique…
Or anyone who lost a ton of weight…
And I guarantee they did NOT build that physique (or lose that weight) with gimmicky supplements.
They build that physique the old-fashioned way: by eating right and lifting hard in the gym, day after day after day.
Are ALL Muscle Building Supplements A Scam?
Now, I’m not about to say that ALL supplements are bad.
After all, if you have a vitamin C deficiency…then taking a vitamin C supplement is probably the best thing you can do to improve your health and, you know, prevent scurvy.
But supplements should ONLY be used to fill in the cracks.
They are NOT a replacement for healthy, natural food. Because you WON’T get the same benefit.
Taking a vitamin C supplement is NOT the same as eating a bell pepper or some broccoli. Those foods contain a whole spectrum of healthy vitamins, compounds, and antioxidants that work together to nourish your body in a way that a pill…just can’t do.
When Should You Take Supplements?
The only time I recommend taking a supplement is when there’s a nutrient that you can’t get enough of through your diet.
Some nutrients, like magnesium, vitamin D, and vitamin K2 can be hard to get—even when you eat a healthy diet.
Depending on how you eat, you might also want to take a B vitamin if you’re a vegetarian, for example.
The Real Downside To Taking Muscle Building Supplements
Now you might think that taking supplements can’t do any harm. That you might as well give them a try, because why not?
But taking supplements that have no benefit is a waste of your time, money, and energy—all of which are limited and valuable resources that you would be better spent on more effective strategies.
So consider this your excuse to STOP buying supplements. You are now FREE from having to waste your time and money on little pills.
Now go spend that time on something more valuable.
